Have you been looking for a cosmetically elegant Korean sunscreen for dark skin with a silkier, non-oily finish and smooth texture that would blend in easily with the skin?

Well, you may not be alone in your search for a Korean sunscreen for dark skin that does not leave a white cast. Many tanned, olive skin people find themselves always on the hunt for sunscreens with no white cast.

While we love a thick, protective film of sunscreen on our face it’s not fun to have that chalky texture all over your face.

In this article, we will review some fan favourite Korean sunscreens for dark skin that do not leave a white cast.

Neogen Day Light Protection Sun Screen Spf50 Pa+++ 50ml – $30.00

NEOGEN Day Light Protection Sun Screen SPF50 PA+++ 50ml

Application: Easy to apply. It goes on the skin like a lightweight lotion.

White cast: None!

Effects: It has a consistency of a hydrating emulsion and gets absorbed by the skin very quickly. It has a fragrance but is non-irritating to the skin.

Wearability under makeup: Pretty good! It leaves a dewy finish which you can easily mattify with a primer.

Neogen Day-Light Protection Sunscreen is like a lightweight lotion that glides over a slew of other layered products quite well and sinks in almost immediately making it a lovely Korean sunscreen for dark tones.

It feels like a hydrating emulsion when put on the skin. It does have a fragrance and leaves a dewy finish, which you can easily mattify with a primer.

The essential oil-induced smell is noticeable but thankfully it fades quickly.

Neogen Day-Light Protection offers a protection level of SPF 50 PA+++ without leaving a visible white cast. It does not provide that same protective-feeling film and doesn’t calm redness the way zinc does, but it is non-irritating and hydrating.

This is one of the most highly recommended Korean sunscreens for dark skin in customer reviews.

innisfree – Tone Up No Sebum Sunscreen EX SPF50+ PA++++ – 50ml – $20.29

Retail Price: $27.45
You Save: $7.16
from: Stylevana

Application: A little greasy and sticky when freshly applied to the face

White cast: No.

Effects: Lightly hydrating, but not a lot. Definitely needs to be layered with a moisturiser.

Wearability under makeup: Decent, but a primer is definitely needed

innisfree Tone Up No Sebum Sunscreen is a fan favourite for its richness and matte finish.

It does feel a little sticky on oily skin and may even leave a shine on the T zone after a few hours. Despite being a cream, it doesn’t really have a white cast, which makes it a great choice for Korean sunscreen for dark skin.

With how thick and moisturising it is, one would expect it to be much more white and harder to rub in, but it rubs into the skin with ease. The sun cream is SPF48, smells amazing, and is super hydrating.

COSRX – Aloe Soothing Sun Cream – $9.29

Retail Price: $13.77
You Save: $4.48

Application: Quite thick (it’s a cream), not at all greasy.

White cast: None! It blends into your skin as soon as you rub it in.

Effects: Hydrating + moisturising. Excellent- goes on thick, dries down very light.

Wearability under makeup: Pretty good! However, pills with silicone products.

COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream is a moisturising and lightweight sunscreen. It has a dewy finish, however, may feel greasy on oily skin. This sunscreen would be great for dry or normal skin, but oily skin folks, this is not for you.

It feels like a super nice moisturiser which makes it a really good option for dry skin. Even though it may feel like a rich cream, users have reported no clogged pores or breakouts on acne-prone skin.

It does not leave a white cast, instead, it leaves a subtle brightening effect. This didn’t work well with silicone foundations – it may pill a little.

The sunscreen has a nice but barely noticeable fragrance.

That, combined with how hydrating it is, would make it really hard to give it up as one of the best Korean sunscreens for dark skin.

Real Barrier Tone Up Sun Cream is a cosmetically elegant Korean sunscreen with a dewy finish and non-existent white cast.

It is also alcohol-free, making it very suitable for dry skin folks. In fact, you can even use this sunscreen without moisturiser and it still won’t feel drying. It doesn’t clog the pores, absorbs quickly, and works well with makeup too.

The fragrance is not too overwhelming but it doesn’t fade away even after several hours. Since it is a lightweight Korean sunscreen for the dark skin type, you can reapply it throughout the day and use it as your daily sunscreen.

It does sting the eyes a bit, so make sure that you don’t get it anywhere near your eyes, not even on the temples.
